Where to eat Chinese food in Houston.

Houston's Chinatown is a car-only strip of plazas along Bellaire Boulevard, not a downtown grid. Dim sum, Sichuan noodles and hot pot cluster there; Midtown, Sugar Land and the Katy Freeway side each add one distinct meal.

Where is Chinatown in Houston?

Houston's working Chinatown is on Bellaire Boulevard in southwest Houston, on both sides of Beltway 8. ChinatownHTX defines it as Bellaire Blvd from Beltway 8 to the Southwest Freeway (US 59) and calls the stretch from Beltway 8 to Boone Road Asiatown; another 2026 guide describes it as running roughly from Gessner Road to Highway 6. The original downtown Chinatown from the 1930s is no longer the food district. Sichuan Noodles (Dun Huang Plaza) and Ocean Palace (Hong Kong City Mall) are both on Bellaire Blvd.

Where can I get dim sum in Houston?

Ocean Palace on Bellaire Blvd serves dim sum daily until 5:00 PM, and Fung's Kitchen on the Southwest Freeway lists dim sum daily with hours of Tuesday to Sunday 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM (closed Mondays). A 2026 Bellaire guide says popular dim sum rooms have 30 to 60 minute waits on weekends and that weekday lunch is easier.

Where can I find Sichuan food in Houston?

Sichuan Noodles at 9889 Bellaire Blvd sells dan dan noodles, red oil wontons and mapo tofu. Wanna Bao in Midtown has red oil dumplings and spicy cold plates, and Xi Hot Pot in Katy serves Chongqing hot pot with a beef tallow spicy base.

Can I get Chinese food in Houston delivered, and are prices the same?

It depends on the restaurant. Sichuan Noodles and Chang's advertise delivery on their own ordering pages. Wanna Bao and North China showed Delivery as Closed on their own pages on 2026-09-29, though North China links DoorDash and Uber Eats. Prices also differ by channel: North China's online spring roll is $6.99 while its printed dinner menu says $6.50.

Is there Chinese food in Sugar Land, Katy and Midtown, or only on Bellaire Blvd?

Yes. This shortlist includes Chang's in Sugar Land, North China (Energy Corridor) and Xi Hot Pot (Katy) on the Katy Freeway side, and Wanna Bao in Midtown. Bellaire Blvd has by far the densest cluster, and Houston's Chinatown has no METRORail line, so plan on driving and parking in each plaza.
