What this site is

Chopstick Compass is a free, independent guide to Chinese dishes, regional food traditions and researched restaurant choices. You can read it without an account and without paying.

Information, not a guarantee

We research restaurant details from the sources linked on each profile and show the date they were checked. Menus, prices, hours, addresses and ownership change, so confirm anything important with the restaurant before you go. Dish descriptions and regional notes are general context; dishes vary between kitchens. Nothing here is medical, allergy or dietary advice. If you have an allergy or dietary need, ask the restaurant directly.

Rankings and the Featured badge

The city guides are unranked. No restaurant pays to be listed, and the Featured badge is not paid and does not affect which restaurants are listed or their order. See our editorial approach and the badge page.

Illustrations

All food imagery on this site is AI illustrated. Illustrations are not photographs of a real restaurant, a real dish served by one, or a documented visit.

Using our content

You are welcome to link to any page and to share it. The badge code on the Featured page may be used by listed restaurants on their own websites. Please do not copy the guides wholesale or present them as your own.
