Submit your restaurant to the guide.

Run a Chinese restaurant in the US? Send it to us by email. Listing is free, the guides are unranked, and we check every restaurant against its own current menu and location before we list it.

Who this is for

  • Owners, managers and staff of Chinese restaurants in or near one of our 50 city guides: Austin, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Jose, Phoenix, Miami, Detroit, Denver, Minneapolis, Portland, St. Louis, Sacramento, Orlando, Honolulu, Irvine, Oakland, Baltimore, Jersey City, Columbus, Ann Arbor, Madison, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Cleveland, Fremont, Edison, Sugar Land, Bellevue, Plano, Quincy, Rockville, Flushing, Cupertino, Arcadia, Chandler, Milpitas, Naperville, Sunnyvale and Richardson.
  • Chinese restaurants in other US cities. Send the same details; we may add your city.
  • Restaurants already in a guide that want to correct something, send photos or use the Featured badge. See Already listed? below.

What we list

We add a restaurant only when its own pages show all of this:

  • A Chinese restaurant in or near a covered city, or in a US city we may add.
  • A current menu with prices on a website or ordering page you run. A PDF or photo of the menu works if it is current and readable.
  • The exact address of the branch. Each location is its own listing.
  • Open now, not temporarily closed, with hours we can read.
  • Details that agree. When the address, phone number or hours differ between your pages, we hold the listing until they match.

Payment, ratings, review counts and popularity play no part. A profile shows your exact address, menu link, directions, a few dishes from your menu with their listed prices, your delivery options and the date we checked. Any city guide shows the format.

How to submit

Email these details to sam@chopstickcompass.com with the subject “Restaurant submission: [restaurant name], [city]”. Links are enough; you do not need to attach anything.

  1. Restaurant name
  2. Exact address (street, suite, city, state, ZIP)
  3. Website
  4. Current menu with prices (link)
  5. Ordering and delivery links
  6. Phone number
  7. Your name and role (owner, manager, family, staff)
Email your restaurant details

The button opens your mail app with the subject and checklist filled in. If nothing opens, copy the checklist below and send it from any email account.

What happens next

  1. We open your website, menu, ordering and delivery pages and compare the address, hours and prices.
  2. If the restaurant meets the standard and fits the guide, we add a profile with the date we checked. If it does not, we do not list it.
  3. When the profile is live, we email you its link.
  4. We never charge: not for the listing, not for changes and not for the badge.

Already listed?

  • Corrections. Tell us what changed and link the page on your website that shows it. We update the profile after we check that page. Email a correction.
  • Photos. Profiles use AI illustrations, not photos of your restaurant. If you own photos of your food or dining room, send 1 to 3 with a line saying we may use them. We show them on your profile with credit and remove them any time you ask. Email photos.
  • Featured badge. Link to your profile from your own website and your listing shows “Featured in Chopstick Compass”. It is free and never changes the order. Get the badge and code.

Questions

Does it cost anything to be listed?

No. There is no fee to be listed, to correct a listing or to use the Featured badge, and we do not sell placement.

Will you list every restaurant that applies?

No. We list a restaurant only when its own pages show a current menu with prices, an exact address and that it is open. Each city guide is a short list chosen to cover different meals and areas, so a restaurant that meets the standard can still be held.

Can a restaurant pay to appear higher on the page?

No. The guides are unranked. The order of profiles is not a ranking, and the Featured badge does not change it.

Do you visit or review restaurants?

No. We do not claim visits, give ratings or write tasting reviews. Profiles describe what your own menu and pages say, with order suggestions marked as editorial.

Why is there no submission form?

Submissions come by email, so this website has no form and stores nothing you send. We reply from the same address.

My city is not covered yet. Should I still write?

Yes. Send the same details. A new city guide needs several restaurants that meet the standard, so we keep submissions for cities we may add.
