Wikipedia says Sunnyvale lies along the historic El Camino Real. Dim Sum King lists 824 W El Camino Real and Feng Hotpot lists 1669 Hollenbeck Ave A, both ZIP 94087; one is dim sum to go and the other is Chengdu hot pot, and this guide gives street numbers only and does not claim they are near each other.
Caltrain's Sunnyvale destination page says Murphy Avenue is named after Martin Murphy Jr. and that Sunnyvale station opens onto it, and Wikipedia places the station in the Heritage District downtown. Home Eat lists 101 S Murphy Ave and Dumpling Depot lists 562 S Murphy Ave; this guide does not say whether either sits on the historic stretch, and Home Eat's page names four public parking locations.
Asia Village lists 747 S. Wolfe Road and describes its own cooking as Cantonese and Sichuan. It is the only Wolfe Road pick here, and no fetched page places it in a named shopping center.
Ming Tasty lists 1129 N Lawrence Expy and Xiang Xiang Noodle lists 1115 Tasman Drive, both ZIP 94089. One cooks Cantonese congee, dim sum and roast meats and the other noodle soups and sauced noodles; Wikipedia places the Lawrence Caltrain station in eastern Sunnyvale, and this guide does not claim walking distances.
None of the pages fetched for this guide names a Chinatown in Sunnyvale, and Wikipedia's Sunnyvale article does not mention one. Wikipedia reports a 2020 census population of 155,805, of whom 77,842 (49.9 percent) were Asian, and the seven restaurants here sit on four separate streets instead of one district. The closest thing to a restaurant street in the sources is Murphy Avenue downtown, which Caltrain describes as a commercial corridor that Sunnyvale station opens onto; two picks here are on S Murphy Ave. Cupertino, Milpitas and San Jose have their own Chinese food clusters, and those are different trips.
Where can I get dim sum in Sunnyvale?
Dim Sum King at 824 W El Camino Real is a to-go counter open Mon-Fri 10 AM-5 PM and Sat-Sun 9 AM-5 PM, with 3 Pieces Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow) at $6.15 on its pickup menu; same-day orders are by phone and online pre-orders are for the next day or later. Ming Tasty at 1129 N Lawrence Expy lists Siu Mai and Har Gar at $7.25 each on its online menu, with home-page hours of Everyday 11am-3pm and 5pm-10pm. Dumpling Depot at 562 S Murphy Ave has a Dim Sum section that includes Cantonese Shrimp Dumpling at $11.99 and Shanghai Pork Soup Dumpling at $8.99.
Where is Sichuan food in Sunnyvale?
Home Eat at 101 S Murphy Ave describes Sichuan, Hunan and Taiwanese cooking and lists Ma Po Tofu (w/ pork) at $15.99 and Cumin Lamb at $23.19. Xiang Xiang Noodle at 1115 Tasman Dr lists a Szechuan style spicy cold noodle at $15.95, Chongqing street noodles at $15.95 and Noodle with MaPo tofu at $15.95. Asia Village at 747 S Wolfe Rd calls its cooking Cantonese and Sichuan and lists Ma Po Tofu at $17.95 and Tender Beef Chongqing Style at $19.95, and Feng Hotpot at 1669 Hollenbeck Ave says it began in Chengdu.
Are there Chinese restaurants on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale?
Dim Sum King at 824 W El Camino Real is the El Camino Real pick in this guide. Ginger Cafe's own site lists a Sunnyvale branch at 1146 W El Camino Real with dim sum all day, but Asian Street Cafe's site lists the same address with coffee, banh mi and all-day dim sum, so this guide could not tell which kitchen to link and left both out. Hunan Mifen at 592 E El Camino Real surfaced only through delivery-platform listings, with no operator page found, and P.F. Chang's at 390 W El Camino Real is a chain.
Which of these Sunnyvale Chinese restaurants deliver?
On 2026-10-01, Dim Sum King's site linked a DoorDash-powered ordering page with a delivery option, Dumpling Depot's order.online page and Home Eat's Toast page offered Delivery and Pickup, and Asia Village's page listed Delivery about 30 min. Ming Tasty's home page says it is on DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub and HungryPanda, although its own ordering page does not offer delivery. Xiang Xiang Noodle's page showed pickup only and Feng Hotpot's Chowbus page listed no delivery. Prices differ by channel: Dim Sum King's DoorDash-powered page lists Har Gow at $7.26 against $6.15 on its pickup menu, and Dumpling Depot's online prices ran about $1 above its website menu.

Sichuan peppercorn The dried husk of a Zanthoxylum berry that gives Sichuan dishes a citrusy scent and a tingling, numbing buzz; it is not a true pepper.
