Broth-filled pork buns and a separate shumai plate
Use Juicy Pork Bun and Shumai as separately priced Chinese appetizers, with General Tso’s Tofu from Vegetarian as another choice. The explicit broth-filling description supplies the pork-bun classification; no piece count is printed in either selected appetizer label. Confirm service because Wix showed Not Accepting Orders at the overnight fetch.
Guizhou-labelled chicken with celery, dry tofu and potatoes
Choose the bilingual Guizhou Chicken with Celery entry, then the separate Celery and Dry Tofu cold dish or Sour & Spicy Shredded Potato. Preserve the menu codes and full labels. Call about service mode and vegetable-dish ingredients; the operator closes Tuesday and the menu was closed overnight.
Choose Szechuan Style Bean Curd with its explicit vegetable-broth description, Steam Vegetable Ravioli(8) with ginger soy sauce and Chinese Eggplant w.Garlic Sauce as separate menu choices. Eight is printed in the ravioli label. Confirm wrappers, sauces and the applicable pickup window, which differs from the Friday dining schedule.
Red Pepper publishes its exact Main Street branch on the homepage and linked bilingual ordering menu. The latter names Guizhou Chicken with Celery alongside Sichuan sauce dishes, potatoes, tofu and other vegetables; the Guizhou claim applies to that selected dish label.
Build an order. Guizhou Chicken with Celery D14.贵州鸡 $15.95 is the Chicken-section selection. Celery and Dry Tofu C05.芹菜香干 $9.45 is a separate Cold Dishes entry, and Sour & Spicy Shredded Potato H08.酸辣土豆丝 $14.95 appears in Vegetable. The English and Chinese headings are retained together. The Vegetable section also includes Tofu w. Minced Pork in Sichuan Spicy Sauce and Bean Noodle w. Minced Pork, so its section name alone does not establish meat-free preparation.

Do these selections reuse Boston-area restaurants or neighboring suburbs?
All seven selected operator addresses explicitly say Worcester. Full Boston, Quincy, Malden and Lexington MA guides contain different exact branches and no explicit Worcester coverage. Mins Wok’s West Boylston Street is a Worcester operator address, not an inferred neighboring-town location. The two Park Avenue restaurants have different street numbers and ZIPs.
Which soup-dumpling and shumai prices are actually supported?
Wan Wang lists Juicy Pork Bun $8.99 and Shumai $8.99 in its Chinese takeout menu. Its pork-bun description explicitly says Steamed juicy bun dumpling with pork and broth filling, supporting a broth-filled soup-dumpling classification without renaming the heading. Neither selected label prints a count. Steamed Shrimp Dumplings has a four-piece description but no established har-gow format, so it is held from that comparison.
Which regional labels go beyond Cantonese and Sichuan?
Red Pepper explicitly pairs Guizhou Chicken with Celery with D14.贵州鸡. Chuan Shabu names Hunan Bandit Duck and North China Style Eggplant; Mins Wok names Shanghai P F Noodle w.Seafood. These are source-backed dish names. They do not establish the origin of the cooks, the restaurant as a regional specialist, or preparation details absent from the source.
Which vegetable-focused choices have explicit support?
Nancy Chang places Szechuan Style Bean Curd in Vegetable/Vegan and describes brown vegetable broth, peas and carrots. Mins Wok names Moo Shi Meatless; Dragon Chef labels its mushroom egg foo young no meat. Wan Wang and Chuan Shabu have named Vegetarian sections, and China Sea describes Triple Delight as broccoli, snow peas and string beans. Red Pepper’s Vegetable section also includes minced pork, so confirm ingredients, sauces and shared preparation rather than relying on section names alone.
What needs checking before pickup or delivery?
Nancy Chang’s Friday order window differs from its dining schedule. Wan Wang was not accepting Wix orders overnight but links separate delivery platforms. Mins Wok’s pickup platform says to call because online orders are unavailable. Dragon Chef has two same-branch menus with different prices and earlier Menufy delivery closing times. China Sea qualifies its delivery with a radius, minimum, distance fees and third-party fulfillment. Red Pepper’s fetched menu did not establish a service mode.
Reading the menus
Words you may see in Worcester.
Mala A Sichuan flavor pairing the tingling numbness of Sichuan pepper with chili heat; the name means numbing and spicy.
Sichuan peppercorn The dried husk of a Zanthoxylum berry that gives Sichuan dishes a citrusy scent and a tingling, numbing buzz; it is not a true pepper.
Doubanjiang A salty, savory fermented paste of broad beans, usually with chili, that anchors many Sichuan dishes; the Pixian version is the most renowned.
Guotie (potstickers) Pan-fried dumplings browned on one side, then steamed with a little water under a lid; 'potsticker' is the English form of guotie.
Baozi A yeast-leavened bun with a filling, most often steamed; unfilled steamed buns are called mantou.
